Dr. Chris Opio was featured in a Prince George Free Press article about his involvement in Verge's Global Heroes Project.

In the Jan. 7 article, which was written by Teresa Mallam, Dr. Opio says: “It was an exciting moment for me to be honoured by Verge magazine and it feels good for our volunteers in NUDF that the work we are doing has been recognized by them but I can’t do the work alone. We have people on board that help – I am just the captain of the ship.”
