WUSC: International Volunteer Opportunities for Skilled Canadians

WUSC: International Volunteer Opportunities for Skilled Canadians
WUSC is a Canadian non-profit organization working to create a better world for all young people. We bring together a diverse network of students, volunteers, schools, governments, and businesses who share this vision. Together, we foster youth-centered solutions for improved education, economic, and empowerment opportunities to overcome inequality and exclusion around the world.

Through the support of international volunteers, WUSC seeks to improve education, economic, and empowerment opportunities for more than 1.2 million people in a variety of countries across Africa and Asia. We offer Canadians and Permanent Residents in Canada international volunteer opportunities each year through established development initiatives, funded by trusted partners such as Global Affairs Canada.

WUSC volunteers support over 70 partners to improve their performance, better advocate for gender equality, and implement more sustainable, innovative, and inclusive initiatives or services for youth, including young refugees and young women.

Our diverse volunteer assignments match many different professional backgrounds, including communications, gender equality and social inclusion, monitoring and evaluation, business development, human resources and more. Partners include entrepreneurship and business service providers including incubators, accelerators and networks, business associations and cooperative unions, organizations supporting economic opportunities and advocacy for youth, women and other marginalized groups such as forcibly displaced persons, innovative financing organizations, training institutions, and enabling environment actors such as government authorities and regulators.

WUSC is committed to improving access for all Canadians to participate in international volunteer opportunities. If you have any questions, please contact us!
