Application process
Internship requirements vary depending on the position, length of stay, etc. In general, the following requirements are necessary: - A high-intermediate to advanced knowledge of Spanish - Experience and/or schooling related to the position. - Ability to work independently, think critically and creatively and be able to solve problems. - An open mind and ability to initiate ideas and project within a distinct cultural environment. - Commitment for a minimum of 8 weeks. - Agreement to the extension form if interns wish to extend their position for more than 8 weeks - A desire to share with and learn from people of different cultures. To apply, submit an application form, a resume, detailed project proposal, application fee and 2 reference letters by e-mail or fax to the Guatemalan office. Depending on the nature of the potential internship, interns may be required to submit their resume and project proposal in Spanish. Copies in both Spanish and English are preferred.
