The International Internship is an exciting opportunity to utilize your Spanish skills and gain valuable work experience in your field of study!  We have established strong relationships with local organizations where interns are placed. All partners agree to do all they can to provide academic integration, professional development, and opportunities to enhance understanding of their field of study during an intern's time with them. Examples of El Nomad's professional partners include Honda International, CEDIUC, the Ecuadorian Ministerio del Ambiente, MAGAP, and public sub-centers of health.

¡Mi casa es su casa!

El Nomad's host families are carefully chosen and have a vested interest in deepening the Ecuadorian experience. Homestays present an unequaled opportunity by immersing individuals in the local language as well as integrating them into Ecuadorian life. Living with a local family provides our program participants with a unique window into Ecuadorian customs and culture. Students are provided three meals per day, and will generally eat lunch with their host family. Lunch is the primary meal of the day, and sharing this meal is an important Ecuadorian custom. El Nomad has established, long-term relationships with upper-middle class families. Our host families have a genuine interest in sharing their culture, language, and family life with international students.
