For 3rd or 4th year undergraduate student registered in a University of Alberta degree program who wish to participate in a study exchange for one term (fall or winter) or academic year (fall and winter) at a UAlberta exchange partner institution.

For students with a background in nautical science, navigation, sailing or seafaring.

Awarded to a student who learned about SEA Semester from an alumnus or alumna of the program.

Awarded to University of Alberta students to assist with the costs of travel for a formal international academic exchange program.

Semester at Sea is committed to offering unique service opportunities while sailing on a voyage. As such, the IMPACT scholarship has been established to recognize students demonstrating a commitment to service in their community and home institution and a desire to continue this commitment during a voyage.

The Rose Nolan Memorial Scholarship was established to recognize Aboriginal First Nation women who are achieving their educational and training goals while maintaining strong community involvement.

The Christianson Grant is awarded to young Americans who have arranged their own service projects abroad. Proposed programs must be at least six months in length and emphasize a work component. The grant does not support independent research projects or academic study abroad programs.
