In order to encourage talented members of minority groups to pursue careers in Classics or Archaeology the Society for Classical Studies (SCS) administers a summer scholarship program for promising minority undergraduates majoring in the study of classical languages and cultures.

Fellowships provide support for highly qualified applicants in all areas of health research at the post-PhD degree or post-health professional degree stages to add to their experience by engaging in health research either in Canada or abroad.

Semester at Sea is committed to offering unique service opportunities while sailing on a voyage. As such, the IMPACT scholarship has been established to recognize students demonstrating a commitment to service in their community and home institution and a desire to continue this commitment during a voyage.

The Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language is aimed primarily at persons who wish to gain an initial TEFL qualification. Each year, SEA awards one scholarship to a resident of Canada.

Awarded to student(s) with superior academic achievement registered in an undergraduate degree at the University of Alberta who are participating in a university-approved education, research, and/or community service experience outside of Canada.

The Society adjudicates a higher-value Premier’s International Scholarship program that recognizes outstanding academic performance and exemplary community service.
